Interview / Tour
A personal, one-on-one interview and tour is required to attend the grooming and training academy. The tours are scheduled five days a week and take 30-45 minutes. During this time the potential student will receive additional information on the academy to include course descriptions, graduation requirements, placement assistance, class calendar, class schedules, refund policy, withdrawal policy, financial assistance and housing.
Financial Assistance
The Petropolis Academy of Grooming and Training encourages all potential students to fully explore personal financial resources to meet financial needs. The Academy recognizes that many deserving students who could become excellent professional groomers or trainers may not have such resources available and will assist qualified potential students in the development of a financial aid package. The Academy staff will provide full details on financial programs to include TRA, VA, VR, WIA and Sallie Mae loans during the academy interview / tour.
Housing
The Academy can refer out-of-town students to reasonably priced, short-term housing. Student housing is not included in the tuition and the Academy does not provide housing. There are short term rentals in the area and the Academy will assist in providing points of contact / telephone numbers to assist the student in all ways possible to locate short term rental accommodations. The financial arrangements / acceptance of facilities / commitment to rentals, leases, utilities, etc. are the sole responsibility of the student / guardian.
Placement Assistance
The Petropolis Academy of Grooming and Training offers a placement assistance service. For no additional fee graduates may use the placement program to assist them in obtaining employment following graduation. Employers who participate in the placement program include training facilities, grooming salons, kennels, veterinary clinics and pet facilities.
